Anne Frank Augmented Reality

The Anne Frank AR Memorial project involved designing and developing an interactive augmented reality experience on iOS using Swift and RealityKit. I established the core application framework responsible for navigation and user flow, ensuring that users could move intuitively between historical context, interactive AR scenes, and informational modules. This foundation allowed the app to function as a structured educational experience while supporting immersive storytelling through mobile AR.

A key technical component of the project was the integration of RealityKit to render and manage augmented reality content. This included configuring spatial anchors, object placement, and scene interactions to create meaningful, context-aware AR memorial elements. In parallel, I conducted historical research into World War II and Anne Frank’s life to ensure the design and narrative presentation were grounded in accurate historical context, helping shape both the tone and structure of the experience.

In addition to development responsibilities, I served as a project manager for a team of freshman developers, coordinating tasks, guiding implementation decisions, and maintaining project milestones. The application was ultimately showcased to stakeholders in Boise, Idaho, where it was presented as an educational AR memorial concept combining historical scholarship with emerging interactive technology.
